Interesting discussion. I would suggest the huge issue Trump isn’t paying enough attention to is the financial pressures experienced by Americans.
I’m avoiding referencing official measures of inflation or how the US economy is doing, because I don’t trust them, or even the stock market (because much of Trump’s base isn’t heavily invested in stocks). I mean the price people pay for everyday goods and services. From my perspective, the cost of living in the US is still too high for most people, and Trump ignores that fact at his peril. Most folks don’t care about Iran, but they’ll care about higher gas and heating prices if those are caused by Trump’s Iran offensive.
