The GOP seems to have a messaging problem of their own on this bill.
Democrats portray it as massively cutting Medicaid, but, so far as I can tell, it just imposes certain work requirements on able-bodied people, and also authorizes further proof of inability to work on many applicants.
So long as it isn’t designed to go beyond those requirements, and deliberately block qualified applicants, there’s nothing wrong with the bill in this regard. That story simply isn’t being conveyed to the general public.
