The Jeffrey Epstein case bothers me. Glad to see that at least one other person is bothered too.
Great chat guys. People are piling onto the Epstein case for cheap virtue signalling. People’s private lives have always been considered private unless they were doing harm to others. And given all the wife beating that has taken place maybe that was too lax. On the other hand, is this really any different from what went on at the Playboy mansion back in the day. And what about the P. Diddy scandal, which appeared to be far more sinister and perhaps even diabolical, yet seems to have been covered up as the Epstein case dominates the news.
If actual crimes were committed then they need to be exposed and prosecuted, based on hard evidence, not supposition and guilt by association. That guy was the centre of an influence peddling and perhaps blackmail scheme as big as anything the KGB set up. Keeping contact even after his conviction may have been a survival strategy, though it raises questions about what people wanted kept hidden. Supplying sex may have been a relatively ‘innocent’ part, given the opportunities for exchanging state secrets and insider information and goodness knows what else. .

Ridiculous in its self righteous tone. How on earth is Freddy Sayers soft justifying this sordid saga? To see this as cancel culture adjacent is to ignore the hypocrisy inherent of global elites thinking they are beyond the morals they preached- but obviously don’t follow.
Trying to redeem Trump and pretend that the evidence is exaggerated is downright baffling.
I am amazed the way some people I respected latched onto this latter-day QAnon moral panic… Mary Harrington, the Breaking Points crew and others are really obsessed with this loony dreck. Embarrassing and dull.
