This interview is exactly what makes Unherd so good. Of course the whole reaction in the US and UK is nothing short of hysteria. Probably not much different from the Salem Witch Trials. And of course the more something is repeated the more rue it becomes, even if its complete nonsense.

We’re not bitching about the sex thing – this is not a ‘moral panic’ – did this man use his position to pass classified Government policy to his little mate who was a financial player? Not pearl-clutching, no-one gives a stuff – it’s the corruption that stinks.
The UK public and press should do what they do best, ignore this blip in the sanctity of the Royal Family and move on to weightier matters. The “Firm” will engage with the Prosecution to work out a suitable arrangement to punish Andrew, which will not include any gaol time, and leave him to fester in Norfolk while his wife finds a gullible TV hostess and publisher to provide an income for the family.
‘Fester’ – people save money to be able to live in a six bedroom house with acreage for horses and dogs. Hardly. Oh boo hoo.

I know this might be small of me, but I would have attached more weight to this fellow’s views had not the conversation started with a photo of him with hairy legs crossed.
Agreed, and I don’t understand your downvotes. His arguments made sense to me on their own terms, but his aspect does not suggest reliability.
It’s the misconduct in public office that is the important issue. The rest is mass hysteria.

Michel Tracey has been defending Epstein for some time now. The fact is he was wrong. Epstein is disgusting and the access to power was incredible. I don’t think you can be hysterical enough, given the crimes of our leaders.

Good interview Freddy and well argued Michael Tracey. The former Prince Andrew, born into one of the richest and most privileged families, hardly needs sympathy from us plebs, however it does seem like he is being pilloried for actions which may not amount to any sort of crime, and for which until he is actually tried and found guilty thereof, he is entitled to the presumption of innocence.

Michael Tracey sounds very disappointed by Unherd’s refusal to publish his piece about the fiasco that is the media’s hounding of ex-prince Andrew. He put the article on his substack instead.
Freddy has a good interview here but it is so much easier and more thorough to be able to read why Tracey takes the view that he does.
I’d like to know what evidence there is for Andrew being called a ‘paedophile’ . It is obvious that the photo with the small child was taken in one of the royal residences and was a private photo, probably with family or a close friend. Look at the furniture people!
Great interview with Tracey who has done so research on this and shown the poor Guiffre woman to have been unsound. Her family should disappear now to save themselves more embarrassment. Disappointing that Unherd decided not to publish his article which he has put on his substack. I’ll bet that no charges are made against Andrew and if there are, they will not be proven. All too smokey. As for the photo of Andrew and the small child, it is obviously a family or close friend, just look at the furniture people!
