White youth are more likely to report feeling stress and anxiety compared to their counterparts of other races, a Gallup survey found.

About half of white youth, 50% and 45%, reported feeling ‘a lot’ of stress and anxiety (respectively) the day prior, compared to 29 and 24% of black youth, 42 and 30% of Hispanic youth, and 46 and 43% of multiracial youth. White and multiracial respondents also exceeded black and Hispanic youth on their reports on sadness. White parents, meanwhile, are more likely to report that their children’s emotions are ‘intense’. So much for White Boy Summer.
