  1. Toward the end of this discussion, Wofgang touched on what for me is the key issue in connection with the departure of Starmer: so what if Burnham is the next Prime Minister? How does that change help Britain?

I’m American and most of what I know about British politics I learn on Unherd. It appears Burnham is to the left of Starmer. He’s unlikely to significantly change the UK’s approach to, among other things, net zero, energy costs, high taxes, excessive regulation, excessive immigration, and low productivity.

So how is the UK better off under Burnham? I predict the UK public will be clamoring for his removal within a year.

    1. He’s also got a meteor heading his way, that he doesn’t think is a meteor, and he’s going to have no idea how to deal with when it hits. And the reason he knows nothing about this, is because he’s on tram tracks and can look neither up nor down nor right. Only left. To paraphrase Tolstoy – All successful Prime Ministers are alike, in that they are, erm, successful; each failing Prime Ministers (and we know rather a lot about those, sadly) fails in his or her own inimitable way. Although with Burnham, it possibly will be, his *and* her, inimitable way, since he’s already claiming he will be the most female Labour Prime Minister.

  2. how/ where to send a video question as requested in latest episode by Yanis – i have recently subscribed and am ready to titillate
